Quick answer: there is not just one “Genesis Bus Terminal” in Manila.

The official Genesis network uses several Metro Manila departure points. Cubao is the company’s main terminal, while Pasay and Avenida serve overlapping but different route combinations.

Most important rule

Do not choose a terminal only because it is closer to you. First identify your destination, then use the terminal assigned to that route or shown on the confirmed ticket.

The main passenger confusion

Cubao, Pasay or Avenida — which Genesis terminal?

These three terminals are not interchangeable. The official Genesis route list shows different direct services from each Manila departure point.

Main terminal

Cubao

Best-known Genesis terminal in Metro Manila and the company’s officially listed main terminal.

Official direct routes include: Baguio, Baler, Mariveles and Olongapo.
South Metro Manila

Pasay

Useful for passengers near EDSA–Taft, the airport area and southern Metro Manila.

Official direct routes include: Baguio, Balanga, Mariveles and Olongapo.
Manila city

Avenida

Genesis also uses an Avenida terminal in Santa Cruz, Manila.

Official direct routes include: Baguio and Balanga.
Going to Baler? The official current route list shows Cubao → Baler, not a direct Baler route from every Manila terminal. This is one of the most common points of confusion for first-time passengers.

Passenger questions answered

Genesis Bus Terminal FAQ

Answers focus on the questions that most often cause missed buses, wrong-terminal trips or booking confusion.

Where is the main Genesis Bus Terminal?

Genesis Transport lists its main terminal at 704 EDSA corner New York Street, Cubao, Quezon City. But “main terminal” does not mean every Genesis route leaves from Cubao.

Is Genesis Cubao the terminal for Baler?

Yes for the direct Manila route shown on the official Genesis route list: Cubao → Baler. Do not assume Pasay or Avenida has the same direct Baler service.

Can I go to Baguio from Cubao, Pasay or Avenida?

The official route list includes Baguio service from all three. Your selected trip can still have a specific boarding terminal, so follow the terminal printed on the ticket.

Is JoyBus a different bus company?

JoyBus is the executive coach service of Genesis Transport Group, not an unrelated operator. Its service classes and online booking arrangements can differ from regular Genesis trips.

Where can I officially book JoyBus?

The official Genesis JoyBus page identifies iWantSeats and PinoyTravel as its official online reservation partners for JoyBus. It also lists JoyBus ticketing offices at Avenida, Baguio, Baler, Cubao and Pasay.

Is Saulog Transit part of Genesis?

Yes. Genesis states that it acquired Saulog Transit in 2010. Some Olongapo and Cavite routes are specifically labeled as Saulog services in the Genesis route network.

Does Genesis use PITX?

Yes, but PITX should not be treated as a replacement for every Genesis Manila terminal. The official network specifically lists PITX on services such as Balanga–PITX and Clark–PITX P2P, while other routes use Cubao, Pasay or Avenida.

Does Genesis go to NAIA Terminal 3?

Genesis operates Premium P2P airport services connecting Clark and NAIA. Baguio is also listed with NAIA 1, 2 and 3 connections. Verify the exact terminal and boarding point before travel.

What is the official Genesis customer-service number?

The official website publishes the inquiry numbers (02) 824-6778-0, 824-6778-1, 824-6778-2 and 824-6778-3. It also lists genesiscustomerservice@genesisgroup.ph for customer-service email inquiries.

Why doesn't this page list a phone number for every terminal?

Because the official Genesis website does not clearly publish a unique passenger contact number for every terminal in its main terminal information. Rather than copy uncertain third-party numbers, this guide uses the verified general inquiry contact where appropriate.

How early should I arrive?

For a reserved intercity trip, arriving ahead of the stated departure time gives you time to locate the correct bay, validate your ticket and handle luggage. During weekends and holidays, allow additional time for terminal traffic and queues.

Are Genesis schedules fixed?

No. Genesis itself warns that published schedules can change without prior notice. Check your current booking, the official Genesis website or the terminal before relying on an older timetable.
